مع انتشار أجهزة الحاسب المحمولة LapTop و صعوبة ترك الجهاز يعمل و ترك شاشته مضاءة لأن ذلك يؤثر بالسلب على الشاشة و هي أكثر أجزاء الجهاز حساسية
و لأن وضع الجهاز في وصغ الإسبات Sleep or Stand by يوقف العمليات الجارية
فهذا العفريت الصغير (86 كليوبايت فقط) يقوم فقط بإطفاء الشاشة و ترك الجهاز يعمل .. و تعود الشاشة للعمل بمجرد تحريك الفأرة أو ضغط أي زر بلوحة المفاتيح
